Annual Dinner - Friday 9th November

The annual dinner will again be held at the Tontine Hotel in Greenock. Cost to members and guests will be £20 per head for a 3 course meal with a vegetarian option. If you wish to book a place please inform Sue Bush by emailing honseccbsc@outlook.com as soon as possible.


Closing Muster to Holy Loch Marina - Saturday 1st September

Depart Cardwell Bay at 11am

Join in the race or cruise along in company. Members will gather aboard the yachts or at the Holy Loch Inn depending on the weather. Saturday night or short-stay berthing will be paid for by the Club. Drinks and nibbles will also be provided. Email honseccbsc@outlook.com to let us know if you plan to come so that we can advise the marina of likely numbers.


Annual Regatta and Barbecue - Saturday 4th August

This Saturday is the Club’s Annual Regatta and Barbecue. Programme as follows:

10:00 - Meet at the Clubhouse on Cove Road for those wanting to take part in non-sailing crew "take the helm for a potter" or sailing crew MOB practice.

13:00 - Fun Race. This will take the same format as last year’s successful cruise in company or optional race around the ‘Sugar Boat’ and back to the Bay.

14:00 (or as soon as the boats return) - Barbecue at the Clubhouse

There is also a plan and open invite for boats to head somewhere reasonably close for the night - possibly Carrick Castle - depending on wind direction.

The committee has produced an updated Data Privacy Policy to ensure we are compliant under the new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The policy is available here and there is also a link on the ‘About CBSC’ page.


Muster and Race to Kip Marina – Saturday 19th May

Our next muster is at Kip Marina this Saturday, 19th May. Again the Club will pay the berthing fees (for 1 night). Meet up aboard the yachts for a drink and then perhaps adjourn to The Chartroom for further refreshments.

Race Start time: 14:00 from Cardwell Bay or cruise along in company.

Opening Muster - Saturday 28th April 2018

Our Opening Muster for 2018 is this Saturday (28th April) at Holy Loch Marina. Please contact the marina on 01369 701800 to book your berth mentioning CBSC muster. The Club will pay the berthing fees (for 1 night).

Race Start time: 14:00 from Cardwell Bay or cruise along in company. Yachts are planning to leave Cardwell Bay from midday onwards,


Pre-Season VHF Radio Refresher Course - Saturday 7th April 2018

2018 Annual General Meeting and HM Coastguard Talk - Wednesday 24th January

The Club’s Annual General Meeting will take place at the Clubhouse, Cove Road, Gourock at 8pm on Wednesday 24th January. Full notice and agenda is available here. Prior to the meeting there will be a talk by Peter Stewart, Senior Coastal Operations Manager, HM Coastguard, about the work of his unit based at the Fire Station in Greenock. This will commence at 7pm and Peter is willing to take questions. The Clubhouse will be open from 6:45pm.
